Jauhar Degree College was established
in august, 1998.
The institute was named to pay
tribute to one of our freedom fighters, Maulana Mohammad Ali
Jauhar. Professor Mohammad Rais Ahmad, a devoted mathematics
teacher, a man of commitment and God gifted will power, after
retirement from the education department of Sindh Government
initiated the establishment of the college with very limited
resources and with the help of some very experienced teachers.
The Jauhar Degree College is housed
in a double storied building measuring roughly 15000 square feet
of constructed area and has a very easy access located in block 14
of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi. The College started its first
session in 1998 with an aim of providing excellent education
facilities in the healthiest environment to the students. Over a
short period of time the college has made a name for itself as one
of the popular and prestigious colleges in Karachi.
The college is affiliated to the
University of Karachi and the Board of Intermediate Education,
Karachi.
